ABOUT US

LTC Logistics, container transport since 2011

Since 2011, the same story: you call, and it gets handled.

  • SINCE 2011
  • EUROPEAN SEAPORTS
  • FIXED CHARTER POOL

THE STORY

Off the quay.

We have been moving containers out of Europe's major seaports since 2011: Rotterdam, Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Hamburg. The principle has been the same all those years: anyone who calls gets a planner who understands the situation and picks it up on the spot.

Leo van der Stap founded LTC Logistics in 2011 because he wanted it done differently: not waiting on answers, but solving problems before they become problems. That way of working is still the foundation of the company.

Our office sits in the middle of the Rotterdam port area, on the Waalhaven. We know the terminals, the routes and the daily reality, so we know what is and isn't feasible when something jams.

Tom van der Stap joined the company in 2015 and got to know the organization from the inside, step by step. After years in the daily operation, he became co-owner in 2023. Together with Leo, he has run LTC Logistics day to day ever since.

We deliberately run no fleet of our own, but a fixed charter pool of reliable transport companies; some of them have driven for us since 2011. That way we move with our customers' demand, with drivers who know our way of working and the ports inside out.

Fifteen years later, we still work by the same principle we started with. Personal contact, direct lines and taking responsibility for every transport order. Requested today, arranged today. Not a slogan, but the way we have worked since 2011.

SINCE 2011

Fifteen years, three steps.

  1. 2011

    From the quay

Leo van der Stap starts LTC Logistics in Rotterdam. No office with a view, but a phone and a network at the port. The promise: you call, and it gets handled.

  2. 2018

    A bigger office

LTC grows and moves to a bigger office on the Waalhaven, the port area where the company has always been. Tom van der Stap takes on more and more of the daily operation.

  3. 2026

    Today

The same team and a fixed charter pool, with the same promise as in 2011: you request it today, we arrange it today. LTC trucks containers from the European seaports across the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, and further on request.

VALUES

What we steer by.

01

Personal

You call, and it gets handled. No ticket system, no queue: a regular contact you know, who understands your cargo and picks up your request personally.

02

Flexible

Roundtrip, one-way or a rush job: we plan around what you need, not the other way around.

03

Reliable

Commitments that hold, since 2011. Requested today, arranged today: a fair price and a container standing right where it should be.

HOW WE DRIVE

Fewer empty kilometers.

A container that runs full one way and empty the other covers twice the distance for one load. Empty running is the biggest source of unnecessary cost and emissions in container road transport.

Where possible, our planning links a return load or a reload to the trip, so the tractor does not come back empty. That saves kilometers, fuel and emissions per shipment. It works out more often on fixed lanes than on one-off runs; we look at what is realistic trip by trip.

We run asset-light with a fixed charter pool: the trucks are not ours. What we control is the planning. By combining trips smartly we keep empty running as low as possible, without hollow sustainability promises.

LTC IN NUMBERS

2011 Year founded
4 European seaports
4 Fixed lanes: NL, DE, BE, FR
7 Container types, from 20ft to flat rack
Big platforms do not move containers. A planner who knows you and a driver who shows up do.
