This is how we work.
LTC Logistics runs ADR container transport from Rotterdam and Antwerp, with certified drivers who know the class of the load, from class 3 to class 9. You supply the safety data sheet and the transport document; we handle the ADR container transport to the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium or France.
Moving dangerous goods is not something you improvise. The class of the load decides the documents, the labeling and which driver may run the trip.
In the port you mainly see class 3 (flammable liquids), class 8 (corrosive substances) and class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods). Each class has its own demands on packaging, labeling and the route the driver may take.
The ADR drivers in our fixed charter pool are certified and know the difference between the classes. A driver carrying class 8 handles leaks and personal protection differently than a driver carrying class 3.
As the shipper, you supply the safety data sheet (SDS), the transport document and the correct packing instruction. We make sure the container is correctly labeled with the UN number and hazard class before it hits the road.
Within each class there are packing groups that indicate exactly how dangerous the substance is. That group helps determine which packaging is allowed and what precautions the driver takes when loading and unloading.
Some tunnels and inner-city stretches carry restrictions for ADR transport. Our planner takes this into account when setting out the route, so the driver does not end up at a closed tunnel and the load still arrives on time.
Every ADR driver carries the required safety equipment on board: warning triangle, fire extinguisher and personal protective equipment matched to the class. In an incident the driver knows what to do and who to call.
We do not simply combine ADR loads with other dangerous goods. Incompatible classes, such as flammable liquids next to oxidizing substances, are never brought together in the same load. That check sits in the planning before the container is loaded.
ADR transport calls for planning ahead, not a last-minute request. The availability of certified drivers is tighter than for regular transport, so the earlier we know the class and the quantity, the more certain the planning.
If there is doubt about the right class assignment, we look at the supplier's safety data sheet. If it carries no clear ADR classification, we get in touch before the container is loaded.
Class, quantity and packaging together determine whether a load counts as ADR. If your load sits just under that threshold, it is worth having your planner check beforehand.
ADR loads do not run through a separate price list or an unclear surcharge here. Any extra cost comes from certification and driver availability, and we simply explain it.

Which ADR classes does LTC Logistics carry?
In the port of Rotterdam you mainly find class 3 (flammable liquids), class 8 (corrosive substances) and class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods). The drivers in our fixed charter pool are ADR-certified and know the demands that come with each class. Other classes are handled on request, depending on the load and the available driver.
Which documents do I as a shipper need to supply for ADR transport?
You supply the safety data sheet, the transport document and the correct packing instruction. We check that the labeling with UN number and hazard class is right before the container hits the road. If one of these documents is missing, the container cannot leave. If you are unsure about the right classification, our planner thinks it through with you in advance.
Are your drivers certified for ADR transport?
Drivers who carry ADR loads are certified under the applicable regulations and trained for the class of the substances they run. That holds for class 3, class 8 and class 9 alike. The training is repeated periodically, so knowledge of the regulations stays current.
Do you also drive ADR containers to Germany or Belgium?
We drive ADR containers from Rotterdam and Antwerp to destinations in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France. The class of the load sometimes decides which route is allowed; our planner checks this in advance, so there are no surprises en route.
May ADR loads be combined with other dangerous goods in the same container?
We do not simply combine ADR loads with other dangerous goods in the same container. Incompatible classes, such as flammable liquids next to oxidizing substances, are never loaded together. Our planner checks the combination at the request stage. If you are unsure about a combination yourself, ask before the load is delivered.
